The teaching and learning ethos at RVS encourages a personal faith in Jesus Christ, opportunities for leadership and involvement in a wide range of School and community activities. 

We recognise the profound impact quality Christian teaching has on the learning outcomes of our students and encourage students to provide feedback on their experiences of learning, which informs our programmes and practice. At Richmond View, the size of our school means that every student is known and their learning needs understood.

We see our role as a partnership between school, whānau, and church to develop the whole person through educational, spiritual, social and recreational pursuits. Our focus is on equipping students to find who God created them to be, and we provide a range of engaging co-curricular activities such as sport, music, drama, and outdoor education to complement academic study. These meaningful pursuits help students develop important skills, such as interpersonal and social skills, physical fitness, learning about leadership, and working as members of a team.
