Dear Parents & Caregivers
As you will be aware, Mr. Shaun Freeman will be finishing his role here at RVS this week. I mentioned in the last letter that I would inform you of who the teacher/s will be in Room Six during Term Four.
After advertising and considering the situation, The Board of Trustees have decided to put Rob Elwood into Room Six on Mondays and Tuesdays, with Adelle Galloway teaching on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The only week where this may differ is Y6-8 Camp Week where Rob will teach for the whole week. I will also be working closely with Room Six students to ensure a smooth transition. Given the staff and their experience, I expect the transition to be very good.
We will be advertising and hiring for this position throughout next term and in January and will inform you of any outcome as soon as we know.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your patience with this matter and I look forward to continuing to work with such a great group of young people next term.
Congratulations to our students who represented our school so well at the Marlborough Lines SciTec Fair this week.
Special mention to:
"Parent and Child Creativity Workshop" with Kylie Fleur
This brand new art workshop offers a wonderful opportunity for parent and child to share, connect, and learn through creativity. In a world where the parent is usually more experienced and practiced at most things, art is a subject in which we are equals.
If you want to gain a deeper appreciation of your child’s craft, and if you want some insight as to how to respond to your child’s artistry, and how to guide them then this workshop is a must! Discover your inner artist and come and have some fun. Suitable for children/youth ages 8 and over. Spaces are limited to 6 couples maximum to allow for individual attention.
Next School Holiday Workshop: Sat 7th – Sun 8th October 2017, 9am – 12pm, $170 for parent and child, including materials. (Funded by Creative Communities NZ)...
