On Wednesday lunchtimes there will be football coaching for those children playing summer football. Children will need to bring P.E. uniform and sneakers to school on Wednesdays. Last week summer football was ON. I realise there was some confusion caused by the rapid deterioration in the weather, so in future if there are any updates that I am notified of after school has finished, I will use the RVS app to notify parents. Also, if you are a Facebook user the Marlborough Football Facebook page also has the latest news regarding games.
On Tuesday lunchtimes Year 5 – 8 students have the opportunity to learn how to play Ki o Rahi. Students wishing to take part will need P.E. uniform and sneakers on Tuesday.
This term we hope to offer volleyball to students from Year 5 to Year 8 if there is sufficient interest. Games are played on Friday afternoons starting either at 4pm, 4.45pm or 5.00pm. The season runs from Friday 26th February until Friday 8th April. The cost is $35 per player and each team will require a parent supervisor court side at every game.
If your son/daughter is interested please return a signed permission slip to school by Thursday 18th February. Children who have already expressed an interest have collected an information sheet from Mrs Wilson. If you have any questions please contact Mrs Wilson.
A huge THANK YOU to all the parents who assisted with transport last week for swimming. Without you we wouldn’t have had such a successful week.
There will be some soccer coaching on Tuesday’s at lunch time
each week for the children playing summer soccer. They will need to have PE uniform and sneakers on this day.
