Just a reminder for those who are unsure. There are 3 things that will come home each night:
- a reading book (read half each night)
- reading log (please sign after reading)
- spelling notebook (this has the term scripture in it too).
Please make sure reading is completed each evening & spelling words are practiced throughout the week.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a super summer holiday!!
Here are some notes about this coming term!
You will notice Room 3 is looking very different! We have new carpet & the walls & roof have been painted - make sure you pop in to have a look if you haven't already!
In Room 3 this term we will be trying a new seating arrangement called 'flexible seating.' There are a range of different seating types around the classroom that the children can use while they are working. These include; big group working tables, large balls to replace their chairs with, cushions to work on the floor, soft mats for children to lie on the floor & kneeling tables for the children to kneel at. There are also individual working spaces for children to work on their own if they prefer. The aim of flexible seating is to increase engagement and excitement and for the children to start to identify where/how they work best. If you want to know more, come and see me!
Thank you to those who have already signed up to class dojo! This means you will be able to keep up to date with the points given out in class. If you have any questions about Class Dojo, send me an email or pop in and see me.
I am looking forward to a great term this term!
Hope you had a great holiday! Here is some information about Term 4.
This term children will only have their daily reading, mathletics & spelling to complete for homework. Encourage your child to do other things as well like practicing their bike signals & playing outside as the weather heats up.
Athletics - Wednesday & Thursday (Week 1-Week 6).
See photo below.
Wow it's almost Term 3 already! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday! Just letting you know of some things coming up in this next term!
Year 3 Memory Verse
‘You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.’
Matthew 5:14 and 16.
Year 4 Memory Verse
Ask, Seek, Knock
‘Ask and it will be give to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!’
We are Room 3.
Our teachers are Mrs Crossley and Mrs Powell. We are Year 3 and 4 children and there are 31 of us so far in our class.
During Term One we will be working on our Enviro-School project and the theme for our devotions is 'God at Work'. In Week One of this term we hosted the first school assembly. It was great!
In Week 2 we will be taking part in our school swimming programme. In weeks 3-11 we will be doing lots of hard work!
Term Scripture MUST be learned by all students be recited by the end of Week 7.
All children have Homework books and suggested Homework activities are included in these, as well as a Class/Group reading book.
Thursday is our P.E. day and P.E. clothes and shoes are essential.
Come in and join us one day to see what we do in Room 3. Just call at the Office first!
