Monday the 18th of February was a beautiful day to celebrate God's faithfulness. The Kapa haka sang a beautiful waiata, our Year 9 Pioneers received special badges and our mayor John Leggett cut the ribbon. After that Room 1's very own Alison did a brilliant job as she shook his hand and gave him flowers.
Oral Language Term 1
Physical Education (PE) days for Term 1 are Tuesday and Thursday. Please send your child in PE uniform and black running shoes on these days.
Hello wonderful Room 1 families.
We are looking forward to another great year, starting this Wednesday! We will be around in the mornings when you drop off your child or after school when you pick them up for a chat or if you have any questions. We also have a whole school Parent Open Evening on February 4th where we look forward to showing you around the classroom.

Here is one of our Nativity Shadow puppet stories performed by Amelia, Sadie, Oarabile and Edel.
This week Room 1 students gave their first official speeches in front of an audience. They all did so well! We had speeches about washing hands, picking up rubbish, crossing the road, secrets, keeping our bodies safe, and more.
Christ gives me the strength to face anything.
We are so excited to be back at school. Here are some photos of our double decker bus trip in Term 3. I wonder what exciting things will happen this term?
We have a school policy which is that we don't have toys at school unless it has been specified for a privilege or is the topic for news that day.
The reason for this is that toys often get broken or lost at school.
If your child wants to bring in something to show to their teacher or friends, their parent can bring it in with them but the parent must take it with them when they leave school in the morning.
