Information about Aquablast in Week 10. Please note there is a consent return that should be returned to school before Week 10.
There will not be a formal homework programme this term. However, if students can access Mathletics at home I will be regularly setting tasks that relate to the topic we are studying in class. A target for students to aim for is 1000 points a week.
Please encourage your son or daughter to be reading every evening at home. This could either be a chapter book, or non fiction on a topic that interests them. Students may bring one of their school library books home each week. At Year 6 and 7 the emphasis is on improving comprehension skills, so you might like to ask your son or daughter some questions about what they are reading.
From time to time there may be specific tasks, or unfinished work, that they will be asked to complete at home.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with me, or come and see me after school.
Thank you for your on-going support at home.
A warm welcome to our 5 new students in Room 5. William, Anton, Krista, Nikkita and Kayla. Here they are receiving their bibles from Mr Pauling.
Just a reminder that school finishes at 12.45 on Friday, so that students can rest in preparation for prize giving, which starts at 6.30. Students can wear mufti on Friday morning.
School finishes for the holidays on Tuesday 18th at 12.45pm.
Thank you for all your support, for myself and the children, over this year. I wish all those students going to Room 6 the very best for next year and I am looking forward to having some wonderful Year 7 girls again next year.
I hope you all have a blessed and relaxing Christmas.
Just a couple of reminders.
Mufti day is this Wednesday, 5th December. Gold coin donation.
Lochmara trip is on Friday. Students must be at school by 8.50 so that we can be ready for the bus departure. Parents, please be at school at 4.30pm in order to collect children when the bus returns.
Monday 10th December is the Year 6 orientation visit to the Technology Centre. Closed toe school shoes must be worn. Next year all students going to Technology will need to wear school shoes. Sneakers will not be permitted.
Scripture needs to be said by Wednesday 12th December, as privilege will be Thursday 13th December.
If possible please can students bring an extra bag, or a plastic bag, to school. There are a lot of books and work that will be going home over the next couple of weeks.
