Christian Schooling in Marlborough
Richmond View School is classed as a Full Primary school, meaning that we are able to offer Christian schooling for students from Years 1 – 8. Parents who wish their child to continue in Christian schooling beyond Year 8 currently have to enrol in schools outside the Marlborough region, with our nearest Christian College situated in Nelson.
The proprietors of Richmond View School plan to present the Ministry of Education an application to change RVS from a full primary (Y1 to Y8) to a full composite school (Y1 to Y13) in order to provide parents with the OPTION of both primary and secondary Christian education for their child within Marlborough. What are the benefits of a composite school?
3. The possibility of offering NCEA subjects while applying the latest educational research into a new, flexible learning environment.
4. Continuing as a smaller school, we would continue to be pastorally strong. 5. It would be Blenheim’s only co-ed high school. What steps need to be taken? As a part of this application process, we need your feedback as representatives of our schooling community, indicating your level of support for this project. Therefore, we ask that you complete the survey (right), bearing in mind that we are asking if you support having the OPTION of Christian schooling for your child up until Year 13. Note that this survey is not asking if you would definitely continue with Christian schooling for your child. |
