Principal
Murray Ramsay went to be with his Lord on January 1 2010.
He was 59yrs old and had been battling cancer for nine
months.
Murray
was a principal of high regard beginning at Richmond View
School in 2001. In the years that Murray was Principal he
grew the school in achievement levels and in numbers.
He
was a man who put God first in his life. Outside of
school Murray had a heart for Missions in particular the
East Godavari District in India.
He
is survived by his wife Susan, six children and three
grandchildren.
Principal
- Adelle Galloway
Adelle
entered the teaching profession in 1976, attending
Wellington Teacher's College, and has taught in
Wellington and Marlborough. Adelle has taught at all
primary levels and is also a skilled administrator.
Adelle became Principal at the beginning of 2010. Adelle
is married to Rob and they have three adult children,
James, Julia and Lachlan. Her interests include
gardening, reading, church involvement and family
activities.
Jane
Fransen
Jane
is a graduate from Christchurch College of Education and
the University of Canterbury, having obtained a
Bachelor's Degree of Teaching and Learning. Jane grew up
in Christchurch and moved to Blenheim in 1991 with her
husband Wayne. They have two teenage children and Jane's
interests include – lazy summer days, BBQs, keeping up
with teenagers, coffee with friends, church life,
singing, shopping and make-up!
Rob
Elwood:
Rob
graduated from Christchurch
Teachers College in 1976 and taught in Waiuku (South
Auckland) and Whataroa (South Westland) before moving to
Wairau Valley School in 1981. In 2006 Rob and his
wife Colleen took up teaching positions in the city of
Nanning in Guangxi Province of southern China.
Returning to New Zealand in 2007, Rob took up a long term
relieving position here at Richmond View School.
Rob has extensive experience in the local musical theatre
scene and is enthusiastic about outdoor activities,
especially sailing. At various times Rob has been
involved in many aspects of Church leadership and
creative ministry.
Amie
Campbell:
Amie
graduated from Canterbury University with a Bachelor of
Education and Christchurch College of Education with
a Graduate
Diploma of Teaching and Learning. In New Zealand, she has
taught in both Blenheim and Nelson. Recently she has
returned from the United Kingdom where she taught for two
years at a variety of schools in London from Nursery to
Year 7. Amie has enjoyed travelling and is particularly
fond of hiking in good conditions. She enjoys reading and
always appreciates a recommendation of a good book.
Julia
Galloway
Julia
graduated from the Bethlehem Tertiary Institute in 2007
with a Batchelor of Teaching and Learning. BTI is a
Christian Teacher's College. She is the first “old
girl” of the school to return and teach here full time.
Apart from her students, Julia's interests are cooking
and reading.
Kirsten
Vile
Kirsten
is a recent graduate from Christchurch College of
Education and the University of Canterbury, having
obtained a Bachelor's Degree of Teaching and Learning.
Kirsten grew up in Blenheim and attended Richmond View
School for some of her primary schooling. Kirsten has an
interest in art, music and outdoor pursuits.
Secretary –
Jenni Stubbs
Jenni
is our very efficient secretary and only works mornings.
She is married to Grant, a member of the Board of
Trustees and has 3 children, with one still at Richmond
View School. Jenni’s interests include music, song
writing and gardening. Jenni is currently part of
the music team at the Blenheim Elim Church.
Librarian
– Susan Ramsay
Susan
Ramsay is our school Librarian. She has been the driving
force behind the new Library building at Richmond View
which is now fully operational and an amazing asset to
the school community. Susan is an efficient administrator
and supports the staff, students and the school in a
variety of ways.
