Richmond
View School is a private Integrated school having a special
character of Christian, situated on a 3 Ha piece of land in
Blenheim. It is a full primary school, running from Year
1 to Year 8 (New Entrant to Form 2).
The
school is attached to the Blenheim Elim Church, who see the
school as a service to the Christian community in Blenheim and
its environment. The school teaches the NZ National
Curriculum. Part of this delivery uses the Interact Curriculum,
a curriculum based on the NZ Curriculum but integrated with a
Christian world view.
Everything
done in and through the school is carried out in a manner
consistent with the teachings of the Bible, as we believe that
our Christian ethic should be reflected in the character of the
staff and pupils.
Over
the last few years the school has had a substantial increase in
the roll, necessitating a building extension. A new
classroom block consisting of 2 classrooms, a combined computer
suite and a toilet block were built and are now both full.
It is the expectation of the Board that a further project will
be required in the near future.
